The 5 Retail Exhibitions You Want to Attend in 2019

Whether you are a global retailer or starting out on your retail journey, trade fairs or retail exhibitions are a great way to meet new suppliers, learn about new products within your industry, and the trends in retail buying every year. This blog post goes through a few of the largest retail exhibitions that Australian retailers must attend in 2019.

1. Canton Fair (China)

Known as China's biggest trade fair, this is the go-to trade fair for all retailers who wish to source products from China, are thinking about, or are already manufacture goods in China. The Canton Fair features almost any type of industrial product, from phone parts to clothing and medicines. The event is held regularly throughout the year to suit buying seasons.

As China and Australia has a Free Trade Agreement, sourcing from China has traditionally been quite easy. Transportation and taxes and duties are also lowered with eligible commodities.

Canton Fair is fairly large, so if you wanted to attend, be prepared to spend a few days to a whole week in China focused on buying for your next retail cycle.
