Last week, Natalia, our Business Development Manager, had a chance to attend the Good360 Fairfield Distribution Centre Launch, a cause which Whale has contributed to by connecting our clients with the charities themselves.
Good360 is an Australian not-for-profit that aims to redistribute obsolete warehouse goods to local communities that need them. They work with companies and help them deal with their excess inventory by contacting charities and people in need that would need the products.
Natalia had the chance to represent Whale at the Fairfield launch, where Mayor Frank Carbone spoke and opened the facility to the local community. Natalia also helped immensely with the launch by collaborating with her Whale clients, and connecting those that have leftover stock to Good360. She also offered her extensive knowledge to the team at Good360, such as local labour utilisation and inventory control, and how to distribute the goods effectively.
Whale Logistics has participated in the community over the years and we always strive to give back whenever we can. With Good360, not only can we help our clients free up storage space, reduce inventory costs, but also further close the supply chain, reduce waste and empower communities by giving away the goods they potentially need, such as office supplies. In the future we hope to support more causes like these and of course, continue to give our support and connect more suppliers to the Good360 cause.
Below are some photos of the event and some of the inventory that was being donated to various charities.
